KKCR 91.7FM

KKCR 91.7FM is Uganda’s first community radio station, broadcasting from Kagadi Town Council in the Kagadi district of mid-western Uganda. This radio station is a collaborative project between the local communities of Greater Kibaale and URDT, an indigenous non-governmental organization. KKCR plays a vital role in promoting sustainable rural development by providing a platform for community members and development partners to discuss key issues such as good governance, environmental protection, human rights, health, nutrition, agriculture, and service delivery. Serving as a voice for the underserved, KKCR broadcasts 24/7 in seven local languages and English, fostering information sharing and open dialogue amongst all development actors in the region.
