Maverick 96

WUPG (formerly WUPZ), (96.7 FM), is a licensed radio station in Republic, Michigan. Armada Media Corporation, licensee AMC Partners Escanaba, LLC, owns the station. It was granted its license April 17, 2008. In July 2008, the station was signed on with a Variety Hits format. The station changed formats to Classic Country on March 4, 2014. It was rebranded as "Yooper Country 96.7" The station's brand was changed to "The Maverick" in 2017, using the same branding as their sister stations WTIQ/WGMV. Part of the UP's Radio Results Network.
