KQAL is Winona’s only full-service, independent radio station, broadcasting from the heart of Winona, Minnesota, since 1975. Located in association with Winona State University, KQAL delivers a diverse mix of content including jazz, rock, public affairs, educational programs, arts, and culture, and exciting WSU Warrior sports play-by-play. Operated by the Mass Communication department at Winona State University, KQAL provides invaluable career training for student volunteers while serving the communities of southeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin with high-quality entertainment and information.
