Hot 106 is Rhode Island’s premier Rhythmic Contemporary station, broadcasting in the Providence area. Serving Southern New England with a mix of hip hop, R&B, and pop, Hot 106 has a rich history dating back to its launch as WWON-FM in 1949. For decades, the station – formerly known as WNCK and later WWKX – delivered “The Rhythm of Southern New England” to listeners.
