Established in 1945 as a commercial station, it evolved into a non-profit cultural Christian station thanks to the donation of Armando Castro in 1957. For over 75 years, Radio Progreso has been a pioneer in the FM band, broadcasting from its current location on Calle San Antonio Abad, San Salvador, and serving as one of the most listened-to Christian stations in El Salvador.
