George FM

George FM is Auckland's unique alternative radio station, broadcasting from New Zealand. Launched in 1998 by Thane Kirby in Grey Lynn, Auckland, George FM began as a low-power FM pirate station nurtured by a team of passionate volunteers. Today, George FM offers a distinctive, unstructured music format with 75 presenters each bringing their own crate of favorite tunes, resulting in a vast library of over 1,000,000 tracks and a complete absence of mainstream pop music.
