East FM

East FM is Auckland’s community radio station, broadcasting on 88.1fm for Howick and 107.1fm for Botany/Flat Bush. Formerly known as Howick Village Radio (HVR), East FM was established in 2008 as part of the Howick Radio Charitable Trust, providing a local voice for the wider Howick district. We offer a diverse range of music genres from jazz to heavy metal, alongside vital local news, sport, community notices, and weather updates. East FM supports local schools with regular programs showcasing their activities, and welcomes non-profit community groups to promote their events live on air. With a dedicated team of 30 volunteers, ranging from 8 to 80 years old, East FM provides a valuable platform for local voices and a diverse listening experience.
