Radio Diffusione Follonica

Radio Diffusione Follonica is a historic Italian radio station broadcasting from Follonica, Tuscany. Founded in 1977 by Biagio Russo and Giorgio Ghini through the cooperative “L’informazione Democratica,” the station initially operated on 93.000 MHz with a 100-watt transmitter, providing a mix of music, news, games, and themed programming. Expanding to 24/7 broadcasts in 1979 significantly broadened its reach. Despite temporary closure in 1996 due to legal issues and a final shutdown in 1998, Radio Diffusione Follonica maintains a legacy through its annual New Year's Eve events and its web radio dedicated to the Follonichese Carnival.
