Radio Beckwith

RBE Radio Beckwith, based in Torre Pellice, Piemonte, Italy, is a community radio station and TV channel dedicated to serving the Val Pellice and Cuneese regions. Established in 1984, RBE Radio Beckwith began as a passion project for local youth after the spread of free radio broadcasting in 1976. Named in honor of General Charles John Beckwith, a benefactor who supported the culture and education of the Valdesi valleys in the 19th century, RBE has grown from limited broadcasts to a 24/7 operation. Today, the station, affiliated with the Valdesi Evangelical Church, utilizes a team of 10 editors and approximately 80 volunteers to deliver local news, music, cultural programming, and community events.
